NEW YORK, NY – Chelsea’s Agora Gallery will feature the original work of Monika Gloviczki in Metamorphosis . The exhibition opens November 11, 2017 and runs through December 2,  2017 with an opening reception on Thursday, November 16 from 6-8 pm.  The luminescent landscape paintings of Monika Gloviczki appear to shimmer with light and color, drawing viewers into the artist's world. Initially inspired by the work of the Impressionists, Gloviczki modernizes her paintings by incorporating elements of abstraction and reportage. Unromanticized and expressively colored, Gloviczki's work is splashed with bright blues and embellished by golden highlights. While she often approaches a painting with a scene in mind, Gloviczki then allows her instincts and imagination to take over, producing scenes that are beautiful and spontaneous. She describes her work as a form of “silent music,” a symphony played by pigments to form a harmony of composition and color, a song describing deeper layers and moving beyond the banalities of everyday life to reveal what’s extraordinary.   Gloviczki was born in Poland but spent most of her adult life in Paris, where she earned MD and PhD degrees and worked in the medical field. She currently lives in Rochester, Minnesota, and is a full time artist. She says her new life in the US has expanded the sense of joy and freedom expressed in her work.   Exhibition Dates: Nov. 11  – Dec. 2, 2017 Reception: Thursday, Nov. 16, 2017, 6:00pm - 8:00pm Gallery Hours: Tues-Sat 11:00am – 6:00pm Gallery Location: 530 West 25th Street, New York, NY Event URL: https://www.agora-gallery.com/artistpage/Monika_Gloviczki.aspx   Featured Artists: Osvaldo Bacman  |  Ed Belbruno  |  Laura Colantonio  |  Josep Francés Anaya  |  Andrew Glass  |  Monika Gloviczki  |  Donato Grima  |  Theresia Innerhofer  |  Martin Randall Joyce  |  John Kingerlee  |  Malvisi  |  Vicente Marzal  |  Koki Morimoto  |  Eduardo Ojeda  |  Z.
